How did NASA land a rocket on Mars? How much weight can a building hold before it collapses? In this unique class, taught by a nationally recognized New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) professor emeritus, teams of campers will solve a series of engineering problems. Hands-on activities, using everyday materials, will challenge, engage, and inspire intellectually curious middle schoolers to dream of becoming engineers themselves one day. This is an academic enrichment and fun program which provides a taste of how college classes teach the "engineering design process", which is fundamental to the way engineers think and do their work.
