Students will research, learn and create personal statements, develop interviewing skills, and discuss appropriate attire when applying for Admission to Colleges & Scholarships. By the end of the class, students will have created a draft of their personal statement, which can be used for college applications and scholarships. Learners will receive explicit teachings and coaching on crafting their ideas to include the critical elements of this type of essay, such as its structure, purpose, tone, thesis, and “I” statements. They will have gained a level of confidence.
