This is an enrichment-style cooking camp focused on helping kids to become more independent kitchen helpers and chefs of their own! For this week of camp, we will be exploring breakfast favorites, the most important meal of the day.
Campers will use age-appropriate utensils to learn important culinary skills like chopping, mixing, mashing, sifting, rolling dough, and spooning batter. Younger campers will not use anything sharp or hot during the cooking lesson, thus making our kid-friendly recipes the perfect snack or meal-time activity to remake at home! Older campers will learn how to properly and safely use some kitchen appliances and sharp utensils, giving them the skills to remake these recipes at home safely! Campers will also engage in a daily “Whole Food of the Day” activity, highlighting a new healthy ingredient. Each day of camp will feature a printed recipe card of the daily recipes so campers will leave with their very own breakfast recipe books!
